English Premier League Week 2 Predictions

After a frenetic English Premier League 2020/21 opening weekend, we switch our focus to the second weekend week’s predictions as the two Manchester clubs, United and City, kick-off their campaigns.

Our highlight of the English Premier League weekend is the clash between EPL new boys Leeds United v Fulham and our predictions expert have placed their bets on Marcelo Bielsa’s boys to emerge victoriously. Head to BongoBongo and place you bet now.

Here are the rest of the predictions:

Leeds United vs Fulham Prediction

These two clubs who gained promotion to top flight in contrasting fashion will square up in a different atmosphere, from Championship big boys to EPL small wigs. Leeds put up a stellar performance against Liverpool last weekend but eventually fell to a Mohamed Salah-inspired side. On the other hand, Fulham was totally outplayed by Arsenal in London. From their opening performance’s Leeds are clear favourites to record their first win this weekend.

Leeds win: 62%
Draw: 20%
Fulham win: 18%

Everton vs West Bromwich Prediction

From Leeds, inspired Everton will once again parade their new boys and hope to dim a West Bromwich Albion side that was thumped 3-0 by Leicester City.  Even though WBA boss Slaven Bilic can count on key players for Saturday’s clash, home win should be considered as Everton proved their worth in the triumph over Jose Mourinho’s troops.

Everton win: 52%
Draw: 31%
WBA win: 17%

Manchester United vs Crystal Palace Prediction

The Red Devils kick-off their campaign amidst a transfer window that has blown hot and cold for Ole Gunnar Solkjaer. The Norwegian has so far failed to lure Jadon Sancho to Manchester but has been able to sign Donny Van De Beek. For Palace, Roy Hodgson has some selection worries ahead of the trip to Manchester, which is yet another reason why home win should be considered.

Man United: 46%
Draw: 22%
Crystal Palace: 32%

Arsenal vs West Ham Prediction

Arsenal will be buoyed by their flawless performance on Saturday and will go into this fixture riding high on the news that talisman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will extend his stay in London. The Hammers, on the other hand, failed to impress in the season opener, with the team suffering a 2-0 home loss to Newcastle. West Ham United face an uphill task in the local derby. Place your money on the Gunners.

Arsenal win: 51%
Draw: 23%
West Ham: 26%

Southampton vs Tottenham Prediction

These two failed to impress in their season openers as the Saints fell to Crystal Palace while the Spurs were rattled by Everton at home. The two sides will be hoping to register positive results this weekend but based on their form, we are tempted to call this a draw.

Southampton win: 23%
Draw: 46%
Tottenham win: 31%

Newcastle vs Brighton Prediction

Newcastle comes into this tie with their tails up after their win over West Ham in London while Brighton will be looking for something to steady their campaign after they were blown away by Chelsea on Monday. The Magpies are favourite to record their first win over the Seagulls since February 2017 and will, therefore, keep the three points this weekend.

Newcastle: 41%
Draw: 21%
Brighton: 38%

Chelsea vs Liverpool Prediction

This one will provide the fireworks for the weekend! Jurgen Klopp’s men were unconvincing in their 4-3 win over Leeds on Sunday as the Blues were ruthless in their demolition of Brighton. Will the new boys at Chelsea prove the difference? The only thing we are sure about that there will be goals in this fixture.

Chelsea win: 34%
Draw: 36%
Liverpool win: 30%

Leicester vs Burnley Prediction

James Vardy continues to carry this Leicester City side on his supple shoulders as he once again was the star in their 3-0 win over West Ham. Burnley are eager to impress in the opening match of the season but the Foxes will not be in a charitable mood.  In their last meeting at King Power Stadium, the Foxes defeated the Clarets 2-1.

Leicester: 45%
Draw: 20%
Burnley: 35%

Aston Villa vs Sheffield United Prediction

Aston Villa will kick off their campaign this weekend as they host a smarting Sheffield United side thumped 2-0 by Wolves on Monday. In their last meeting in the English top-flight, the two teams played out a goalless draw, which is yet another reason why the share of spoils is on the cards.

Aston Villa: 34%
Draw: 36%
Sheffield United 40%

Wolves vs Manchester City Prediction

Manchester City is back on the domestic stage after another heartbreak in Europe. Over the years Wolverhampton has turned their Molineux Stadium into a real fortress, but seeing that Pep Guardiola’s men are hungry for revenge, away win should be considered. The good news for the Citizens is that key attacker Kun Aguero has overcome his long-term injury.

Wolves: 38%
Draw: 20%
Manchester City: 42%
